They define various stages a customer undergoes before he finally purchases the product. At every stage, you can analyze a prospect’s behavior until he finally gets converted into a customer. To know more, read this blog introduction of funnels.

How can you access the funnel section in the DASHBOARD ?
You can access it from the left sidebar of the panel under the “ Analyze” section.
How to define the filters while creating a funnel ?
- Funnel name : It signifies the name of the funnel that defines the functionality of your funnel creation. i.e. What your funnel is all about ?
- Select date : Specify the time span for which you want to create a funnel.
- Funnel list : Save the funnel name and create as many funnels you want to. Choose to see the analytics of a specific funnel by selecting it from the funnel list.
- Save : Define the name of your funnel and save it.
- Save as : It specifies the already saved funnel name with a new file name for more convenience.
- Delete : It specifies the permanent deletion of your funnel.
How to define the steps of creating a funnel ?
1. Select the event from the drop down menu which defines the first stage of your funnel.
For example : The first event fired on your website is : When users installed the app.
How can you add filters while creating a funnel
You can also add filters to microsegment your data, while creating a funnel.
- Add filters : It specifies the source and location of the users from where they installed your app.
a. Choose to add the filters : i.e. Browser, device, city or the page URL from where they landed on to your website or app.
b. Choose to include, exclude or contain the attribute which you will be selecting to view a user’s data.
Example - If you need to see the app installation of the users on the basis of the filter i.e.city. You can include or exclude a specific city if you wish to. That means you can choose to view a specific city’s data.
2. Select the event from the drop down menu which defines the second stage of the funnel.
For e.g. : The users searched for a specific product.
- Add filters : Select the source and location of the users from where they searched the product.
Note : You can add as many filters you want to.
3. Choose the event from the drop-down menu which will depict the third step of your funnel.
i.e. The users added the product to the cart.
- Add filter : Choose to add filters on the basis of which you want to analyze your user’s activity.
4. Select the event from the drop down menu which specifies the last stage of your funnel.
i.e. Users who have purchased your product and finally add to your goal conversions.
- Add filters to view the user’s “conversions data’’ on the basis of their source or location.
Note : You can add more rules as well to create a funnel.
Where can you view the funnel summary ?
Evaluate the overview of your funnel through the summary.
How can you preview your funnel ?
Once you have created the funnel manually, see its preview. Have an elaborative view of your users analytics at each funnel stage.
- Know the percentage of users who have searched for a specific product.
- Look into the percentage of users who have added to the cart.
- View the user’s percentage who are finally converted into consumers.
- Know the percentage of users who have installed your app.
Follow the above steps and know how to create a funnel to look into your user’s activities on your website. Also, re-evaluate your strategies if needed any.
