  • Origin path : Refers to the first and main domain of the web page.
  • URL path : It signifies the second domain of the web page.

1. Basic rule

Target the user whom you want to send the A/B Test campaigns across all platforms and devices. Also, determine the minimum page views on the site and time spent by the user on your website. Let’s have a look at each of its variables.

  • Visitor Type : Display campaigns to specific visitor types only. Select between all visitors, new visitors or returning visitors.
  • Time spent on entire site : Total time spent on site after which  will appear.
  • Minimum page views : Notification will appear only after visitor has done specified number of pageviews on site.
2. Time of the day

  • Show campaigns during a specific time of the day, say between 1 pm and 3 pm.
  • Timezone : Select site visitor timezone to specify time ranges as per site visitors' timezone.
  • Specify time ranges in 24 hours format. For example From - 13:30 to - 15:30.

  • Search Engine : Show campaigns if visitor comes through any of 40 major search engines. You can also specify search keywords to show notification only when visitor comes through specific search terms. Leave search terms blank to show for all search engine traffic.
  • Social Media : Shows AB testing campaigns if visitor comes through any of following social networking sites - facebook, twitter, linkedin, google+.
  • Direct Traffic : Show campaign if visitor comes directly by typing your site URL
  • Custom referrers : Show campaigns if visitor comes through specific referring sites. You can add multiple URL rules to specify multiple custom referrers.

5. Location

Choose the location. i.e. country or region, where you want to target the AB testing campaigns.

6. Cookie

 Select the group condition for a cookie rule.

 Specify the cookie name so that the respective user can see the campaign name.

  • Cookie name : Name of cookie which is dropped in users’ browser for tracking. 
  • Condition : Set of rules defined to filter.
  • Value : Value assigned to corresponding query name.
