How to schedule a push notification through CSV Upload.
You can schedule push notification through uploading your users through csv.
through csv upload you can send personalised push notification like diffrent titles and massages for diffrent users.
How to schedule push notification via csv upload
1. Go to NotifyVisitors panel and create new Android Push Notification. Read more on how to create a push notification.
2. Once you created your push, Select the campaign type i.e. CSV upload. Refer to the below image to view different campaign types - One-time, Recurring, CSV upload and transactional API. Choose the CSV Upload campaign type to begin with scheduling your push notification.
4. After defining the description,media,advanced options and targeting rules for the notification. Click on Schedule Notification. Here you can upload your csv file.
Maximum size for your CSV file must be 10 MB. Your file must be CSV or XSLS supported.
5. After uploading the CSV File, next step is to map your csv columns with our system attributes. You can choose the system attributes from the drop down menu. Also, you can chose to skip the columns if not required.
POINTS TO REMEMBER : Keep these points in mind while scheduling a web, app or ios push notification.
- For web push notification : Either User id or subscription id is mandatory.
- For App Push Notification : You require either User id or subscription id or android id. One of them is mandatory.
- For ios Push Notification : You either need a user id or subscription id or Vendor Id. One of them is necessary.
Note : You can skip the columns which are not required.
6. Now, Schedule date and time for your notification. Specify the time zone of the user whom you are sending notification to. Select the time when you want your notification to be seen to the users. Time is in 24 hour format.
7. You will view a SCHEDULE NOTIFICATION TABLE after you schedule the date and time for the notification. View here the scheduled date, status, rows count and action for your push notification. For more reference, see the below image.
- SCHEDULED DATE : View the timing and date scheduled for your push notification.
- STATUS : See the status of your push notification.
a. Scheduled : The “scheduled” status will let you know that your notification is set for schedule.
b. Completed : “ Complete” status will tell you that your push notification has been sent.
c. File not found : This status will imply an error in the meanwhile of your process.
- ROW COUNT : It specifies the count of subscribers in your CSV file.
- ACTION :
a. Edit : You can edit the scheduled time for your notification
b. Delete : You can choose to delete the scheduled push notification altogether.
Follow the above steps to schedule your push notification through CSV upload. Simplify your process of sending push through NotifyVisitors panel in minimal time. you can schedule android , ios and web push through uploading users through csv.
