Configure Feature Of Deduplicate Users In SMS Campaigns

Configure Deduplicate Users 

Many times your users register with the same email addresses or with the same contact details in the login details. The scenario can unfortunately puzzle you in sending the SMS campaigns.

NotifyVisitors provide you a simple feature of configuring the feature of "deduplicate users" in the dashboard while scheduling for SMS campaigns. Read this article to know more about it.

How to Configure Deduplicate Users in NotifyVisitors :

You can choose to configure for “deduplicate users” from the dashboard which enables you to avoid sending the SMS campaigns to duplicate users(users who have registered with the same ids or phone numbers). Let us now know the navigation to configure the feature of deduplicate users for SMS campaigns.

1. Navigate to the NotifyVisitors dashboard> Campaigns > SMS.

2. Next, click on the SMS campaign given under the Reach users Via category. 

3. You can configure the “deduplicate users” feature by first creating an SMS campaign. Give your campaign a name and click on the CREATE CAMPAIGN button.

       

4. As you move to the basic info, you can view the “ deduplicate users” feature. Choose YES to configure the Deduplicate users.

            


Let’s understand the concept of duplicate users better with the use case :

Below in the screenshot, you can view the users who have registered with different ids “(user-id) but their contact details are the same. In such a case, although the count of the users would be considered as 6 but if you select the YES option in the Deduplicate users category, then the users who have given similar contact details will be considered as only one and the count of the sent campaign will be 3. Since only the Unique will be counted (Phone in this case considering SMS campaign to be sent)

The feature of “deduplicate users” comes in handy in recognizing the duplicate users and avoid sending them campaigns time and again.
