SMS Campaigns :How to disable the UTM parameters, clicks and conversions.

 SMS campaigns are the most feasible forms of communication to interact with the customers about your brands. You can engage the customers with catchy offers through SMS campaigns. Automated SMS campaigns make your work more easy and efficient by scheduling the campaigns to the users on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.

NotifyVisitors enables you to create and schedule the campaigns for the subscribers or users. Also, you can track the analytics and effectiveness for your SMS campaigns. NotifyVisitors lets you enable and disable the tracking of clicks, conversions, and other parameters as per your requirements. Find out how to disable the tracking of clicks, conversions and what happens when you disable these settings. 

HOW TO CONFIGURE THE ANALYTICS AND PARAMETERS FOR SMS CAMPAIGNS :

SMS campaigns can effectively help you raise your revenues but in order to engage the customers, you must be aware of how your campaigns are working, how many subscribers are clicking on the links of your campaigns, and how many of them are actually converting. Worry not, you can configure all this in the NotifyVisitors panel. Also, you can choose to disable the tracking of SMS clicks and conversions while creating and scheduling any campaign.

What happens when you disable the tracking of clicks, conversions, and UTM parameters :

The disabling of the conversions, clicks, and UTM parameters will stop the tracking of your SMS campaigns in Google Analytics. You won’t be able to know how many people you are grabbing across various mediums through SMS campaigns.  Briefly, you won’t know the effectiveness of your campaigns if you disable the UTM parameters. Also, disabling the clicks and conversions will not let you know how many users are converted, and hence, you will not be able to track the foundation analytics for your campaigns.

Below are the steps to disable the analytics and UTM parameters for the campaigns :

1.Navigate to the NotifyVisitors dashboard > Analytics> Campaigns> SMS campaigns. Click on the SMS block to move on to create SMS campaigns.

2. Assign the name of the campaign to create a new campaign. Next, Click on CREATE CAMPAIGN.

Once you have assigned a name to the campaign, click on the CREATE CAMPAIGN.

3. You will be navigated to the BASIC INFO of the SMS campaigns.

Here you can view the following settings:

  • Tracking
  • Conversion tracking
  • UTM parameters

 In order to disable the tracking of SMS campaigns, simply UNDONE choosing the CLICK option. While, for disabling the Conversion tracking and UTM parameters, you can choose the NO option.

Note: If you disable the tracking and tracking conversion option, the clicks and conversions won’t be tracked for the said campaign. If you disable the UTM parameters, you will not be able to track the analytics in Google Analytics. However, you can view them in the NotifyVisitors panel.

CONCLUSION 

Disabling the tracking of SMS campaigns clicks, conversions, and UTM parameters, you won’t be able to track the effectiveness of your campaigns nor you can create further strategies to enhance customer engagement.
